The video for "This Is War" is a short film.

The 30 Seconds to Mars released its official channel on YouTube a preview of the new clip of the band, "This Is War."
The video features the band members, Jared Leto, Tomo Milicevic and Shannon Leto, wearing  war uniforms and carrying rifles.
The band said that this is not just a clip, but a short film. The direction was due to Edouard Salier, who have stayed in Iraq.
